April 2017 - Article on Strategic Planning for Volunteer Engagement Now Available!

Last year, JFFixler Group's Beth Steinhorn published an article in e-Volunteerism Journal on strategic planning for volunteer engagement. Now, we are pleased to share that article with you on our website. February 2016 - Featured Article in e-Volunteerism Journal

What does it mean to move beyond volunteers as a “program” and, instead, embrace engagement as a strategy to fulfill your mission? The shift starts by understanding the benefits of developing a strategic plan for volunteer engagement. JFFixler Group President Beth Steinhorn highlights some of the research behind volunteer engagement strategies and shares a step-by-step process for developing a volunteer engagement strategic plan in the latest issue of e-Volunteerism Journal.

October 2016 - Inaugural Jill Friedman Fixler Professional Development Scholarship Awarded

2015 marked the inaugural presentation of the Jill Friedman Fixler Professional Development Scholarship for the Conference on Volunteering and Service. At the kick off the Strategic Volunteer Engagement Track, Beth Steinhorn presented the award to Amira Barger, Area Executive Director at Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Ms. Barger demonstrated commitment to the field and to her own professional development through her application and her ongoing work. Thanks to the generosity of the Friedman and Fixler families, this scholarship will continue for another 5 years. Stay tuned for application information for the scholarship to support the 2016 Conference on Volunteering and Service to be held June 27-29 in Detroit.

July 2015 - JFFixler Group Selected to present at Inaugural Denver Gives Week

JFFixler Group will be one of the expert community presenters at the inaugural Denver Gives Week, August 10 - 15. Inspired by the For-Profit sector, but tailored to the non-profit sector, this FREE week-long celebration for small and local nonprofits is presented by Denver Gives. With inspiration from Denver Startup Week, the week for entrepreneurs and small business, Denver Gives and its partners thought that was a pretty good idea! That was how Denver Gives Week was born. JFFixler Group will be presenting two sessions on August 13. May 2015 - JFFixler Group Contributes to a New Book

Excited to announce that the book Volunteer Engagement 2.0: Ideas and Insights Changing the World is available! This book, published by VolunteerMatch, takes an innovative approach to volunteer engagement, exploring trends that are reshaping the nonprofit sector. May 5, 2014 - In Search of Sustainability: River Center develops volunteer leadership plan with help from state HIVE program

The presses keep rolling with features on New Hampshire nonprofit organizations who embraced innovation through the High Impact Volunteer Engagement (HIVE) program. HIVE was created by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, in partnership with JFFixler Group. This article from the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript describes how the River Center, one of ten participating organizations, created a volunteer leadership succession plan.

April 18, 2014 - And the results are in...JFFixler Group's HIVE program could be Blueprint fororganizations looking to leverage volunteer talent

Ten New Hampshire nonprofit organizations have learned new strategies for incorporating and making best use of the talents of highly skilled volunteers through a year-long High Impact Volunteer Engagement (HIVE) pilot program created by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, in partnership with JFFixler Group.
